These phones function in the following BMW vehicles equipped with the optional extra BMW comms pack:

All of the phones we supply are complete with the all important factory installed BMW firmware.
which makes them fully compatible with the in-car system.
Only the BMW firmware equipped phones will work with all of the features of your system - unlike standard Motorola V50 phones.
This phones work as a normal mobile outside of the car, but when clipped into the cradle in the centre console of your car,
the address book will be displayed on the navigation screen (where fitted) or the segment display on your business cd and the
phone can be operated by the multifunction steering wheel controls (where fitted) for voice activated dialling and hands free compatibility.

                                 

When switching on, the BMW firmware equipped phones display the BMW welcome screen.
The BMW logo shows for a couple of seconds and then the network operator name is shown.

                 

When plugged into the cradle the address book will be displayed on the CD display or nav screen (where sat nav fitted)
and the phone can be operated by the multifunction steering wheel controls (where fitted) for voice activated dialling and hands free compatibility.

             

The phone will either sit like this in the holder, or you can close the flip, turn it face down, and push it down into the cradle so it sits flush
with the top of the armrest. Fitting upside down like this is factory standard and allows any heat from the battery to dissipate while charging.
You control the phone form the car controls and do not need to use the phone keys.

These phones are all unlocked and will work on Vodafone, O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Virgin, Fresh, Tesco in the UK.
But they WILL NOT WORK WITH 3 NETWORK

Please note these phones will work in the UK, Europe and Australia and other countries using the GSM 900 and 1800 band.
To check you can use these phones in your country go here to see if your local network providers use the GSM 900 or 1800 band.
They will not work in the USA.

This phone will only work in the BMW cars if you already have the optional communications pack fitted.

The phone is located in the centre armrest console and plugs into a cradle and wiring loom. If you already have the cradle and wiring fitted, all you need is the phone. It will plug in and work without any specific set-up procedure.  If you don't have the cradle and wiring fitted you will need to purchase these separately.

I am afraid we only supply the phones and not the car kit wiring or cradles.
